Women's Ministry
The women's ministry here at GGCF does not start and stop with Silver Spring. Our vision is big and our hearts are overflowing from the love that God has bestowed upon us. Our aim is to disciple women into whatever God may have for them, teaching women how to hear and respond to the Holy Spirit, run the race with endurance, and finish the course with joy.
We hold weekly Bible studies on Tuesday nights at 7:30 pm. We take missionary trips, attend mission conferences, women's seminars, serve the body of Christ, and spend time together just having fun. We view each other as family and would love to have you join us.
Closely connected to our women's ministry is a non-profit called Grace Women, which was founded for the purposes of encouraging women's discipleship worldwide. Through it, we have worked with women in Zambia, Uganda, Romania, South Korea, China, and across the United States. We regularly update the message library with Bible studies and conferences including the Bible studies from Silver Spring, so if you'd like to listen to a few, select 'Silver Spring' in the 'Ministry' drop-down menu and check us out!

La Tascha Brown, Head of Women's Ministry
Originally from Baltimore, MD, La Tascha Brown received Christ at the young age of 10. As a teenager, she traveled to Springfield, MA to attend Christian School. Upon graduating from High School, she traveled to Lenox, MA for Bible School, graduating with a degree in Christian Counseling. Later on, La Tascha also received her degree in English and Education from Towson University. With this background, she taught at Greater Grace Christian Academy for a number of years as well as at Maryland Bible College & Seminary.
La Tascha’s involvements in outreaches were numerous. She served as a teen leader for 15 years as well as functioned as the lighting designer for various plays that drew in thousands of Baltimoreans to hear the gospel. Later on, she coordinated a singing and theatrical group called the MBC&S Ensemble (now known as The Bible Sings). This grouped toured the East Coast, Canada, Puerto Rico, Eastern Europe and West Africa over the course of 6 years. She also traveled 14 countries doing videography for the ministry as they raised support for missions. She has served as a missionary in Takoradi, Ghana, Lusaka, Zambia, and currently works in Silver Spring, MD, New Orleans, LA, Baltimore, MD with the Bible College ladies, and all over the country of Uganda.
Her vision is simple and her method has been established long before her time. She desires to train women, to propel them in their personal walks, to help them to cultivate an ear to the Holy Spirit, and to encourage an accurate and intimate understanding of the nature and character of God. All of this is with the prayer that they might keep the faith and finish their course with joy. One generation of disciples training new generations that the world might be reached with a personal, life-changing relationship with the Almighty. Why? Because as Hudson Taylor, a famous missionary to China, once stated, “the future is as bright as the promises of God.”
